Gerry Juda's Wastelands

I love these large scale 3 dimensional paintings showing scenes of destruction.  It’s like looking down on a city that’s been hit by a bomb and then winter has come, looking at them makes me feel very chilly.  They remind me of the film ‘The Day After Tomorrow’.  I love the detail; it looks as if there are little aerials and satellite dishes hanging off the ruined buildings.  The abandoned city covered in a sheet of snow seems to reflect light making it look devastating and beautiful at the same time.  Judah’s work was on display at the Imperial War Museum London.
