Taking Apart a CD Player

It took a while to get all the screws undone and I eventually got the lid off to reveal the extremely complicated-looking yet incredibly beautiful workings.  I didn’t really know what to expect but I had no idea the insides of a radio would be so intricate and complex.

I was curious as to why the system boards inside computers and electronics are almost always green.  I found out that extensive testing was done by the U.S. military at the National Materials and Procurement Centre in early 1950’s and the particular shade of green gave the maximum contrast to white or black markings on the board under different levels and colours of light.
